The making of Kylesa screenprinted tour posters

The finished posters

The finished posters

Here are some of the posters as I finished them and set them out to dry. I wasn't 100% happy with the ink coverage, printing white on a dark surface is always problematic.

When we got the Kylesa LPs printed there were a bunch that were screwed up. So the printed made more and let us keep the messed up ones. So I had hundreds of extra poster sleeves. Rather than throw them away I thought I'd make some tour posters out of them. If you look around you can probably find all sort of stuff you could print record covers or poster sleeves on. Old record covers, advertising posters, last years calendars etc. Whenver I see some stack of paper in the alley or something, I turn it over to see if there's anything printed on the back. If not, I snag it to make posters out of. With some moxie you can find some pretty cool materials to print on that would otherwise just be getting thrown away.
